Donnell Rawlings Boston Concert reviews
Great Show, but poor sound quality up front.
"I'll never do that again. I bought Pit Tickets or GA for the first time at Comerica Theater. It’s great to be up front at a concert and see the bands up close. Unfortunately at Comerica Theater, the sound system was terrible up front. I’ve done it many times at several venues in the past and always had a good time. You could hardly hear the vocals at all and if you did, they were muffled. Specifically the vocals. Again this is not my first time in the pit section of a show, but it was the worst sound I’ve ever experienced.
We had to leave the front next to the stage to go to the very back of the pit for better sound to get a better experience. Not sure how to fix the acoustics other than having a center channel speaker of sorts for vocals in the future. Kind of a bummer as I took a first timer to see Donnell Rawlings and she didn’t have the best first impression.
In all the band was great as always. I’d give the band 5 stars all the way. Full of energy, a tremendous stage presence, and charismatic. My poor rating is more about the sound quality for the venue and specifically for those who were up front."
